The ‘Low Anxiety Group’ uses a holistic blend of ancient relaxation and modern therapy techniques.

The group process allows you flexibility to test and identify the right mix of tools to take charge of your healing process, reduce your symptoms of anxiety and stress, and begin feeling more balanced and relaxed.

What does the group do?

Education: you will learn about factors that contribute to anxious living and healing options including: relaxation techniques & stress response / lifestyle modifications / emotional reactivity- shenpa / releasing anger’s hold

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: You will become more aware of how your thoughts and actions can contribute to anxiety and panic symptoms and try specific techniques to modify or reframe thought and behavior patterns as appropriate.

Yoga/Meditation: In each session you will practice relaxation techniques including meditation, breathing (praanayam) and yoga designed to have specific effects on anxiety, stress, depression, anger, and insomnia.  These practices come from Kundalini and Lifeforce yoga traditions and Tibetan Buddhist tradition.

Group Process: You may discuss relationships, family life, work, personal and spiritual growth, and other issues as they relate to stress in your life.  You may also talk about your change process and barriers to success
